Other News and Notes
Interim Progress Reports -The window for progress reports opens this week. The IPR window opens Tuesday, 10/5. Any assignments you want included in this IPR must be dated 10/5 or earlier. You may enter them after Tuesday, 10/5, but the date in your gradebook of the assignment must be 10/5 or earlier if you want it included.
We will not be sending any printed progress reports home for this first IPR as we have had so much movement of students and classes. We will be contacting parents and guardians by way of the Phone Messenger system next week. Also, please be sure to post out your most current grades and remind students to check their grades often in class.
Learning Targets - Learning targets continue to be a primary focus for us this year as they were last year. Please be sure to have daily learning targets. Review them with students and post them. They are not assignments lists but rather targets that best describe what students are learning rather than simply doing.
Faculty Meeting - Our monthly faculty meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, 10/6. We would like to begin right around 7:30 and finish up around 8:30 or so. We will be talking about starting up our LINK program and our upcoming accreditation site visit.
LINK - LINK begins this weeks. Our first LINK begins this Wednesday, 10/6. We will be getting information to staff at our faculty meeting. For some staff they will remain with their advisory group from last year. Others will be paired with their first period students as one of the greatest concerns from our faculty was the lack of connection to their advisory students on a regular basis. Hopefully this adjustment will help.
Thursday and Friday Schedules - We have no plans or meetings scheduled for this Thursday, 10/7 or Friday, 10/8. Thursday is being traded back to faculty so we have time for Arena Conferences in Fall and Student Conferences in the Winter. Friday is a State Inservice Day. We have no scheduled meetings at Rogers but I do know some of you have things scheduled throughout the area.
