Curriculum Fair - Our annual Curriculum Fair for students and parents is scheduled for Monday, 2/22. We will be meeting in the Commons at 6:30 with parents. We will have pizza in the Faculty Room at 5:30 pm for those of you who do not have a chance to get home. Rick has worked through most of the needs and issues for the fair but if you or your department have any last minute requests please let him know.
8th Grade Parent Night - Tonight we will be meeting with the parents from Stahl and Ballou who have an 8th grader planning on attending Rogers High School. Our goal is to help ease the transition to high school as well as better help students plan for coursework taken at their respective Junior High Schools but counts towards high school graduation. We will be meeting parents and students tonight, Monday, 2/22, in the PAC at 6:00 pm.
IPR Opens - The next IPR opens a week from today on Monday, 3/1. Remember that any assignment that needs to be included in this IPR must have a due date of 3/1 or earlier. All grades are due by 3:00 pm on March 4. It is our building expectation that grades are updated every two weeks at a minimum to TAC so that parents can monitor the status of their son or daughter on a regular basis through HAC.
Student Led Conferences - Student Led Conferences are scheduled for this week. Specifically we have set aside Thursday, 2/25 as our conference day. Students will be dismissed early at 10:45 am so that staff have the rest of the day for conference. We will serve lunch at around 11:00 am in the staff room and dinner will be available at about 5:00 pm.
Karey has done a great job getting information out about our conferences. Please touch bases with her if you have questions. We need signed copies of the Student Learning Plans back for those students who have them. Thanks
Voluntary Transfer Process - February is the month when all PEA members have the "option" to request a voluntary transfer to the building(s) of their choice. It is important to know you ideally you should open the account as you can always change it later. Also note you need to make a request for each endorsed area you are able to teach. So, if you are endorsed in Math and Science and want to teach here at Rogers you need to list Math and Science separately for your request at Rogers High School. If you have questions please contact you PEA Rep. I have attached the login for the transfer request site:
