Other News and Notes
Faculty Lunch - The Admin Team will be hosting a soup lunch for faculty on Tuesday, 2/16. We will be meeting in the Library during all three lunches. We need to get information out about registration to our faculty as we will be registering all students in LINK on Thursday of this week. Instead of having a special faculty meeting we thought we would combine lunch with the counselor's presentation. Please plan on joining us in the Library on Tuesday.
Registration Meetings - If you do not make it to lunch on Tuesday the counselors will be hosting meetings in the Guidance and Career Center Conference Room throughout the day on Wednesday, 2/17. It is important that if you do not make it to the lunch presentation that you arrange to see the counselors on Wednesday to go over the registration materials. Inaccurate registration information results in a poor simple tally. We are on a timeline with HR to get our Involuntary Transfers to them and we can not afford to make a mistake with the numbers in our registration materials.
Curriculum Fair - We will be hosting our annual Curriculum Fair next week on Monday, 2/22. The Fair will begin at 6:30 pm. Rick Cox will be the contact person organizing this event. Please contact him with your needs. He will be working with Department Chairs this week to process the details.
State Tournaments - The wrestlers (Boys and Girls) are in the state tournament this weekend. Depending on the schedule we may need to allow students out of school on Friday, 2/19, We will follow the usual planned absence process. Students will be able to get a planned absence from the attendance office on Wednesday. Students attending any state tournament will be processed through the attendance office.
Junior High School Registration - Counselors and Administrators will be out in the Junior High Schools throughout this week registering 9th graders for next fall. We will always have a counselor and administrator in the building to help with our needs. We are no longer processing student requested scheduled changes so things should be slowing down when it comes to that. Some changes may still occur due to new students and work that is ongoing in the counseling center.
Office Supplies - Please remember we fill the drawers in the main office so that you do not have to store large quantities of office supplies in your classrooms. We seem to be going through an unusually large amount of paper and office supplies. Please resist the temptation to "load up" your classroom. Rather take what you need from the drawers and come get more when you need it.
