Other News and Notes

Final Third Period Class Counts - The final 3rd period class counts will be Tuesday, 9/8. Please be sure to do your attendance on your TAC (eSchool Plus) We are doing the hard copy forms as a back up today. Today we turn in our numbers and if any if we are going to get any extra staffing it will be based on the counts we take today.

Remember, please count any student you have seen in your classes since the first day and who has not be officially transferred out (that means you were notified by a system email)

Online Training - The district required online training is due by the end of the month. Currently there are 8 required trainings. They really are not too difficult but do take time. As a result, we will set aside this Wednesday, 9/9, for staff to work on their online trainings. This Wednesday is the first LIC Wednesday of the month and therefore should be Admin directed. Since we just met last week we will ust this week for staff to work on the following items:

1. Online Trainings
2. Learning Target Development
3. Course Syllabus and Classroom expectations

Online Attendance - It is critical we find a way to incorporate attendance into our daily routine. We are using the new eSchool Plus system as our grading and attendance system. Our third period class counts are only as accurate as the attendance taken in the system. Please be sure to take attendance at the start of each period.

Course Syllabus and Class Expectations - Please be sure to turn your course syllabus and class room expectations in to your evaluator by the end of this week. You can do so electronically or hard copy.

LINK - LINK begins this week. This first week of LINK will give you a change to get to know your LINK if you are picking up a new LINK or to get reconnected to your group if you have been with them before. We completed a project this summer such that all LINK should have a copy of a sample Portfolio to be used in their LINK. Please take the time to make LINK work for you and your students.
