Other News and Notes

Homecoming Assembly - Our Homecoming Assembly is scheduled for Friday, 10/22.The assembly is scheduled for after 5th period. Dismissal will be by announcement. The assembly is a longer assembly therefore classes will be shorter so please plan accordingly.


Jay is working with students on the assembly. He will be getting a list of student who may need to get out early on Friday to help with set up. Any student helping with setup of the assembly should have a prior approval or pass from the office prior to missing your class


Attendance Issues - The Admin team will be getting out information concerning the district make-up policy as it relates to unexcused absences. We will also be getting out the official word on Blue and Yellow slips. 

Please reinforce with students that for the first 10 min. and the last 10 min. of each class period students will not receive hall pass. (10/10 Rule) Please begin class on time with an activity that engages students and sets the learning environment. In you department meetings on Wednesday please discuss the following:

• Activities used to begin class
• Absence make-up policy
• How can each of us help with getting students to class on time 

Homecoming Dance - If you are interested in chaperoning the homecoming dance this weekend please let Kim Pettitt know in the main office. Students have been asking staff but we wanted to give an open invitation so nobody would miss out on all this fun. The dance is from 8:00 - 11:00 pm on Saturday night.
