Other News and Notes

Special Faculty Meeting - There will be a Faculty Meeting, Monday, 5/4, at 2:20 in the Library. The district has asked all buildings to meet and get information out about the their response to the H1N1 virus. They have prepared a powerpoint we will be sharing. Please make arrangement to be at this meeting. It should not be longer than 30 minutes.

Regular Monthly Faculty Meeting - Our regular monthly faculty meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, 5/6. Please plan on meeting in the Library at 2:20 pm.

Culminating Project Update - We met with Seniors last week. Any senior who has not completed their practice speech or portfolio should check in with their evaluator by the end of the day today (Monday, 5/4). Christie was to get a new list in your boxes. Please update the status of your students. The admin team will be taking over some of the students who have made no progress to this date and determining whether or not they will proceed to boards on the 20/21st of May.

If you are working with a student, please continue to work with that student. We still have a few more days until everything has to be completed. I know a few of you have made arrangements to complete speeches this week and that is fine. Thanks for all your work on this.

Final IPR (Progress Report) is next week - The final IPR of the year is schedule to open next Monday, 5/11. It will be open for the entire week and close on the following Monday, 5/18 at 8:00 am. this is the last IPR prior to the semester. We are required to inform parents if we will be failing students. I am making the assumption that all parents have been contact prior to this. Please know however it is our expectation that all parents be contacted at this IPR if their son or daughter is failing. Keep some sort of record of your contacts.

CDC Updates - I have added a feed to the the Center for Disease Control on the Ram Review. The CDC publishes regular updates related to the H1N1 virus and gives probably the best factual information out there. Take a look on the right hand sidebar of the Review for the links.
