Other News and Notes

IPR Window Opens - The final IPR of the year opens today. The window will be open from today, 5/11 to Monday 5/18. The Window will close at 8:00 am on Monday, 5/18. Our expectations are that we make contact with the parents or guardians of any student who is failing or in jeopardy of failing at the semester. Please be sure to include comments with your posted gradess.

Also, please be sure that you post current grades this week in your classroom and let students know that grades are posted. We will sending this IPR home next week on Tuesday, 5/19. In some cases we may abe mailing them home as well.

Next Round of RIF Notices - The next round of RIF notices are due this Wednesday, 5/13. The school board will be taking action this evening on a resolution that will then allow the district to move forward on the second round of notice. I have to believe this round will have a greater impact than the last. We will be meeting with teachers on Wednesday or Thursday of this week. Please know that HR will continue to move teachers through the Involuntary Transfer Process. We can expect to see this process continue through the end of hte month.

Spring Art Show - The spring Art Show is this week on Thursday 5/14 and Friday 5/15. The show is in the Library throughout the day on both days with an evening reception on Thursday evening at 6:00 pm. If you get a chance come by and check it out. Please do not just send kids down unattended.

Culminating Project Update - The Admin team with the help of James and crew are now taking some of the seniors who have not completed their culminating project work. We have a list of about 90 students we will be working with. We will be pulling them down to write contracts, inform them of their status as it relates to Sr. Ball and Commencement. If you are still working with students please continue to communicate the results to Christie.
