Other News and Notes

Failure List Due - Please turn in your list of failing first semester students by the end of the day on Tuesday, 1/20. Any student who is currently failing and will fail your class by the end of the first semester should be on the list. If you do not have any failing students please submist a sheet and write, "None" across the sheet. Please be sure to include your name so we can double check courses and staff.

End of First Semester - The official last day of the first semester has been established as Friday, 1/30. School will be dismissed at 10:45 am that day with lunches served at that time. The rest of the day on that Friday is set aside for secondary staff to do their grades and prepare for second semester. The IPR grading window for first semester has been adjusted accordingly.

Schedule Changes - Counselors are cleaning up second semester schedules . We will have a couple of new student registrations this week. We will not be releasing any students from class for schedule changes. All student initiated schedule changes will be done prior to school, lunch time, and after school. As we get ready for second semester we have very little room for schedule changes with the exception of those needed for new classes and failure make ups.

Art Show - The annual Art Show is this week on Thursday and Friday. Please stop by and take a look at the student artwork displayed in the Library. The show will be all day on Thursday. An evening show is scheduled for Thursday night at 6:00 pm in the Library.

MLK Assemlies - Our MLK assemblies will be held in the gym on Friday, 1/23. Instead of one large assembly we will host 3 smaller assemblies. The assemblies will be shorter but hopefully do a better job of communicating the message our students have to their peers.
