News and Notes
Faculty Meeting - Our regularly scheduled monthly faculty meeting will be this Wednesday, 3/5 at 1:20 pm in the Library. We will be going of our required WASL materials as the state assessment begins next week. It is critical that everyone be there. Lots of announcements and others items as we are quickly approaching decisions for closing this year and getting ready for the next.
Beauty and the Beast - Our annual musical production this year is Beauty and the Beast. We have spared no expense and almost gave up a life in the process of bringing you the production (You'll hear more at the faculty meeting). Tickets are on sale now. It is assigned seating. The adults and students have poured their hearts into this production since November and it certainly will be one to remember. Dates of this week's show are listed in the schedule above. You gotta see this one!
Progress Reports - Progress reports are due for all students this week. As before, we are going paperless for the mid-quarter progress report. It is a requirement that all grades be updated and posted into whatever system you are using this week. We will be discussing this a bit more at the faculty meeting this week but here at the details.
TAC Users - If you are using Teacher Access Center for all grading purposes the process is pretty simple. A new tab has been added that allows you to post progress reports for your classes. That tab will be active through tomorrow (3/5). All you need to do is follow the instructions and post the progress reports out. TAC should do the rest. I am going to see if we can keep the tab open through the end of the week for us but don't count on it.
EGP Users - If you are using Easy Grade Pro please upload your current grades to your SWIFT website. Since there is no tab function for this there is a little less of an issue but none the less we want all grades updated this week.
In the end, we are proceeding with the transition to electronic progress reports. We have informed parents and students that all grades need to be viewed online. Please be sure your grades are accurate and posted regularly. The process may look different for 3rd quarter but we are still working on that one.
Yearbook Pictures - Our annual staff has set Tuesday, 3/4 for group pictures. Pam put a tentative schedule out last week. I will resend it today. Please excuse students for their pictures throughout the day on Tuesday.
Student Led Conferences - First of all, a huge thanks for the efforts that went into our student led conferences. The half days really helped and in the end they were a big hit. Calls are being made to follow up on those students who missed their conference. We will expect them to reschedule with their LINK advisor sometime in the next week or so. Once we have tried to reschedule with LINK advisors and we still are missing some students, then we will work administratively to complete those last few students. Thanks again for all you did to make things work!
