Other News and Notes
Snow Make Up Dates - As we mentioned last week our calendar has been set for the remainder of this school year. We missed 8 days due to either weather or power outage issues. Here is how we will make up the days.
  • 3 Days will be recovered by applying for state waivers
  • One day will be recovered on February 20 (President's Day Weekend)
  • One day will be recovered on May 29 (Snow Make up)
  • 3 days will be added to the end of the school year - June 21, 22, 25
Another change to the calendar is that we will be having only one early dismissal day in February (Feb 7). All other Wednesdays in February will be full school days with classes dismissed at 2:10 pm

Finally, we have agreed that anytime we have late arrival on Wednesdays throughout the remainder of this year, early dismissal of students will be cancelled.

Schedules and Class Changes - The end of first semester is scheduled for Tuesday, February 6. That day will be an early dismissal with student release planned for 10:45 am. The remainder of the day is set aside for teachers to prepare for second semester classes and get grades ready from first semester.

We will be getting new class lists to teachers on Monday, 2/5 at the very end of the day. If everything goes well we will be getting student schedules out that same day during 6th period.

Grades are due to the data processor on Monday, 2/12. Report Cards will be distributed on Friday, 2/16.

Math Night - Thursday, 2/1 the distict is hosting a national speaker, Ruth Parker. Dr. Parker will be speaking at PHS in the Auditorium at 6:30 pm. Her topic, "Mathematics and our Children's Future", is designed to inspired parents, educators, and community leaders. If you get a chance please make arrangements to get down to PHS for this event.
