Halloween Issues Today, 10/31 - Please do your best to maintain a positive learning environment in your classrooms today. We announced on Friday that today would be as normal as possible (you and I both know nothing about this year has been normal) Students were asked to not dress in outfits that would distract from the educational process today. With that said, I am sure there will be few who choose to "go their own way".

If you feel what a student is wearing today is disruptive to the educational process in your classroom please do as we would always do and have them adhere to our school dress code. If you feel they need to be removed please send them to the office. If everyone would step in a deal with any student who is clearly out of line with what they are wearing it will help to make the day go much better. It is difficult when after three periods of no comments, students are asked to go to the office later in the day for what they were wearing throughout the day.

Faculty Meeting - Our regularly scheduled facutly meeting is Wednesday, 11/2, at 1:15 pm in the Library. We will open the meeting with a question and answer period. The purpose of this time is to answer questions faculty might have concerning some of the personnel issues we have faced this first quarter. Please know there will not be an open discussion about any one person but rather general questions and hopefully a bit of rumor control. We have other business but we believe it is important to handle some of these issues in a very honest and open climate.

Internet Use during school hours - Please know we are currently having a difficult time maintaining our internet connections during the regular school hours. The district increased capacity throughout the entire system this past summer. Even with this increase we are using beyond our capactiy. There are a couple of issues to address within our building that we will discuss at our faculty meeting this week.

We are asking for teachers and staff to avoid interactive downloads during the school day. If you are using United Streaming please schedule your download to occur after the regular school hours. Also, please refrain from using your desktop computer as a radio receiver. Connecting to satellite radio stations and playing music throughout the day takes it's toll on our system. Finally, please avoid being connected to a number of different sites simultaneously. The district is discussing what next but until then we can certainly do our part to help things.

Sports Teams - Our fall sports teams are wrapping up an outstanding season. Our Cross Country, Volleyball, Swimming and Diving, and Football teams all played this past weekend. Some of our teams and athletes will be moving on in the playoffs this next weekend. We will get you schedules and locations in the next day or so. Winter sports season begins for Gymnatics next week and the rest of the teams begin on the 14th of November.
