Friday Special Edition

Friday 3/20/09

Involuntary Transfer Requests - As we head into the weekend the administrators will be working on the simple tally and trying to determine teaching sections. We also we be working to determine if we will need to have any involuntary transfers out of Rogers High School. As we mentioned at the faculty meeting last week now is the time if anyone is interested in relocating to another building.

If you are interested in volunteering to move to involuntary transfer status please let Scott B. know this no later than Monday, 3/23. Either come see me or drop me an email.

Staffing Update - The first run of the simple tally is completed today. We will be working this weekend deleting classes students have not signed up for or have expressed little interest in. Staffing is very tight. We anticipate the following as our "guiding principles":
  • All 2nd or advanced classes need 30 signed up as we can not expect additions
  • All first year classes need 25 signed up as we can build these classes
  • Seat limits will begin at 35-38
  • Endorsements are the determining factor in assigning classes

Faculty Meeting - We will need to have a special faculty meeting next week. We figure we will have all of our work done on Thursday. We will be visiting with staff next week and working through the issues most of the week. Please plan on meeting prior to school on Thursday, 3/26 at 7:00 am in the Library.

Pam Larsen - Some of you may or may not have heard but Pam has been out of the office and has taken an extended leave. She is in California caring for her mom and dad. Both of her parents have been ill. She has made the decision to spend time down there with them. We are looking to get someone in here to help us get through Culminating Project work. Keep Pam and her family in your thoughts and prayers. We will keep you posted.
