Other News and Notes

Grading and Grades - The Teacher Access Center (TAC) opens on Thursday, 1/29 for posting semester grades. The window for this semester report card is Thursday, 1/29 to Friday 2/6. All grades must be posted by 8:00 am Friday, February 6, 2009.

These are semester grades and are therefore the first transcripted grades for this school year. Any student failing at the semester requires two things:

1. Parent Contact
2. List the student on the failure sheet for counselors

Also, any student receiving less than a "C" in a class should receive a comment as to why their grade is below average and what they can do to improve. If you have any questions or are having any problems posting your grades this week or next please contact one of the administrators.

Early Release Friday - The end of the semester has been changed to Friday, 1/30. As a result, Friday will be an early release for students. All students will be released at 10:45 am. The rest of the day is designed for secondary teachers to complete their grading and prepare for second semester. No building meetings are planned.

Change in LIC Wednesdays Proposed - To accommodate our building needs in February, we are proposing a change to the LIC Wednesday schedule. Our Student Led Conferences (SLC) are scheduled for February 24,25. In order to provide appropriate training we would like to propose the following change:

• First Wednesday 2/4 = Independently Directed
• Second Wednesday 2/11 = Staff Meeting
• Third Wednesday 2/18 = Department Directed
• Last Wednesday 2/25 = SLC (Early Release at 10:45)

Student Led Conferences - Student Led Conferences are scheduled for next month. February 24,25 are the days we have set aside for our student led conferences. Students will be dismissed each day at 10:45 in order to accommodate conferences. LINK lessons are designed around getting students ready for conferences. Please do what you need to in order to help kids prepare for their upcoming conferences. We have some trainings scheduled. If you have any questions, contact Karey.
