Other News and Notes

Third Quarter Grading - As we complete third quarter please remember we need to post all quarter grades in TAC. As it is right now the window for posting third quarter grades is April 7 - 11. We have asked the district to consider changing that posting window to the 9th - 15th. So far, we have not heard back on that issue. As a result, please plan on posting your grades to TAC sometime during the week we return from Spring Break.

Easy Grade Pro Users - If you are using EGP as your grading program, you will need to calculate a final third quarter grade for all students. Once you have determined a final third quarter grade you will need to post that grade in TAC. We will be getting complete written directions to all teachers prior to the end of the week. The key to the EGP users is that you have documentation in your EGP gradebook that supports the grade you are assigning. Comments are required for any student who receives less than a C in any class. The comment should indicate why the grade is below a C.

Teacher Access Center - If you are using TAC as your grading program, you will simply need to post out your grades sometime during the grading window. Grades should be assigned based on your preferences and setup. Again, comments are required for any student who receives less than a C in any class. The comment should indicate why the grade is below a C.

We will let you know if the window for grading changes but at this time please plan on posting grades sometime between April 7 - 11.

Portfolio Evaluations - This year all of us will be evaluating portfolios for our seniors. If you recall, last year on senor LINK advisors evaluated portfolios and that became a bit much. Pam has put together a plan for all of us to receive and review our assigned portfolios during a faculty meeting next month. We will spend a bit of time "norming" the portfolio evaluation process and then each of us will be assigned a number of portfolios.

Per the PEA contract, stipends will be allocated to all staff. The money will be divided equally and appropriately based on your work with culminating project. I don't think the stipends will be sent in until after Senior Boards so you might want to hold off on buying that new coffee card!

Spring Break - We will be on Spring Break from March 29 - April 6. The building will be open during regular hours most days. If you are planning on coming in after hours or on the weekends over spring break, please be sure the alarm is off.
