Other News and Notes

Martin Luther King Assembly - Our annual Martin Luther King Assembly will be this Thursday, 1/13. Students will be released by announcement to the gym at about 10:40 or shortly after second period. The assembly will be about 30 min. Please remind your students about the nature of this assembly and proper assembly behavior.


Contacting Parents - Please be diligent about contacting the parents of those students who are currently failing or may be in jeopardy of failing your class at the semester. Post grades often as we head down the stretch of the final part of this first semester. Contact with parents must me in the form of phone calls or emails. 


Faculty Meeting - We have a faculty meeting scheduled for this Wednesday, 1/12. We will be meeting in the library to discuss our going live with a new online pay stub system. It should be short since your pay stub doesn't have much to it. Anyway, someone from the business office will be up. The other thing we are doing is working on the district math improvement plan program John Parker shared last month. See you Wednesday.


Staff ID Badges - We need to make sure everyone has a current ID badge. If you can not find your badge please make arrangements to get a new picture taken and a new badge made up through HR. Scott Harrison has worked out a deal with facilities that we do not have to purchase the replacement badges but you may want to check with Scott H prior to going to HR. Please try to get this done by the end of January.
