Other News and Notes
Seniors Failing Classes - Lists to Counselors - Last week everyone received a request for a list of those seniors who will have failed your class for first semester. Please know as we spoke about last week at our meeting, do anything you can to assist students but know that in the end some students may not pass by the end of this first semester. Please get that list to the counselors by Wednesday, 1/20. For seniors it is critical we evaluate their credits to determine their graduation status based on any failures first semester.
If there is any possibility that a student may pass at the term please keep working with them and encourage them to continue working until the end of the first semester.
Harassment Issues - We have had a number of harassment issues lately. Most of these issues occur and are never reported to the office. By the time we find out about then they have been going on for quite some time and are out of control. Please help us by taking the time to be a little more aware of student to student behavior in the halls and during your classes. Most of the issues are occurring at in the halls and at unstructured times of classes. Deal with issues immediately and refer students as needed. Thanks in advance for all your help on this.
End of First Semester - The first semester ends next week on Thursday, 1/28. Students will be dismissed on that day at 10:45. The rest of the day is designed for teacher to work on grades and get ready for second semester. The IPR window opens on Wednesday 1/27. That is the date all assignments need to be dated in TAC in order to be included in the first semester grading. Grades are due Feb 2 at the end of the day.
