Other News and Notes

Failing Students - If you have any students who are failing or will fail by the end of the semester you need to contact parents. We asked that all parents be contacted for Seniors earlier as graduation approached. We now need to contact the parents of all failing underclassmen. We have asked that parents check the website for current grades but we need to make parents aware of any sudden changes in grades since progress reports were issued. Please review your grades and determine any students who will fail at the semester. Please forward those lists to the appropriate counselor. It is also our responsibility to inform parents of these grade changes since progress reports.

Final Safety Drill
- The final safety drill of the year is scheduled for this week. We have scheduled a lockdown drill for Monday. As with our other drills we want them to be as realistic as possible. We will send out a notice and let you know whether the drill will be am or pm. State law requires we have monthly drills. Fire/Evacuation drills along with lockdown, shelter in place and Earthquake drills must be practice. While it may seem at times we drill often, I don't know if we can drill enough in preparing for a real issue. Please do your part to help provide for a safe environment for our students.

Honors and Awards - Our 2008 Honors and Awards program is scheduled for this Thursday, 6/5 at 6:30 pm in the Gym. We have been in the PAC in the past so this is a change in location for us. Please check with your department chair as to any presentation requirements your department may have.

Faculty Meeting - Our final faculty meeting of this school year is scheduled for this Wednesday, 6/4. We will be meeting in the Library right after school. Lots of announcement and clean up items. We will get an agenda as there is a lot to go over.

TAC Training and Assistance - We will be providing the district required TAC training in part at our faculty meeting on Wednesday. We also will be providing additional assistance and training during planning periods and lunches next week as we get ready to complete grade reports for this second semester. We have scheduled Thursday, 6/12 as our additional training day. Some of our teachers will be available to assist during planning periods and at lunch. We will be getting more to you on this at the faculty meeting.

Graduation Row Monitors - If you are interested in being a row monitor at Graduation this year please contact Diane in the main office. We will need to have you down at practice on 6/13 and then again on the day of graduation.
